The British couple found dead in suspected murder-suicide at a property in the Wellington suburb of Roseneath on Monday night were Ben and Claire Anderson, RNZ understands.
Ben had been living and working in New Zealand, while Claire had been moving between New Zealand and the UK, before settling in Wellington in December, Prestidge said.
“May we all live lives as full as this sweet and sassy gal! Lola was my first local friend when I studied abroad in Wellington in 2016,” said Claire Naughton. “Rest easy, sweet Lola! You truly were loved around the world.”
Goodbye Pork Pie was a sensation, definitively proving Kiwis could make blockbusters too. Gerry (Kelly Johnson) steals a yellow mini in Kaitaia. Heading south, he meets John (Tony Barry), who wants his wife back, and hitchhiker Shirl (Claire Oberman). Soon, trailed by cops, Invercargill is in their sights. High on hair-raising driving and childlike joy, the trio became folk heroes. Check out behind the scenes interviews, and the featured excerpt of Gerry trying to escape Wellington
